This subject is very intense and complicated.  Therefore, I divided it into two different postings.  This is the second part to the article. In the first posting, we spoke of the definition of "Family Values" and the parties who are being painted as the villains to this utopia of philosophy.

The first posting dealt with the claims and truths associated with Gay Marriage.  In this second posting we will deal with the issues of Homosexuality and Abortion.

Their Claim: Homosexuals are destroying the family and America with a "Gay Agenda."  The gay agenda is supposed to be a set of goals created, in secret, by the homosexual community to undermine the heterosexual community, destroy the family and family values.  The main goals are the corruption of children, undermine the sanctity of marriage, to control the Media and Politics, and to infiltrate and undermine the military.

The first stage of the agenda is the corruption of the children.  This stage is to be accomplished by the infiltration of US Schools.  It is a "well known" fact that homosexuals are pedophiles and are intent on corrupting our children.

 The second stage is the destruction of the sanctity of marriage.  Both the claim and truth were covered in the first blog on this subject.  Therefore, I will not reiterate the matter here.

The third stage is to control the liberal media and politicians to cause the destruction of the family and, especially, the downfall of the heterosexual male. 

The fourth stage is to infiltrate and destroy our military through membership in it.  The claim is heterosexual males would be too afraid to share space with gays out of fears associated with rape, seduction and flirtation.  The secondary fear is gays would not be able to support their fellow soldiers in the trenches because their emotions would keep them from being able to fight.  These are the main points with a couple of variations depending on the speaker.

The Truth:  The "Gay Agenda" is a fantasy created by supposed Christian Right, the Moral Majority, and Conservative Politicians.  There is no such program in the gay community and gays have no secret objectives.  The LGBT Community (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender) have openly stated their needs and concerns.  The entire matter can be summed up in a single statement, LGBT individuals want equal protection and rights under the law.  They want to be recognized as equal human beings.  They want the right to live as a recognized couple, without being prejudiced.  They want the right to have a family.  This is the entire "Gay Agenda" and it is very clear, non-secretive and non-destructive.

The gay community has no desire to promote homosexuality in school.  The parents of children, the majority being heterosexual, have stated a desire to see the courses being taught on human sexuality expanded to include scientific information on homosexuality.  Since homosexuality has been scientifically proven to be genetic in nature; it is known there are LGBT kids in the school system.  The suicide rate of the LGBT kids has been extremely high due to a lack of understanding of themselves and the differences within the community at large.  Therefore, many parents have requested the educational system to expand to acknowledge the full diversity within the student population. 

No one has asked anyone to teach a course on gay sex. 

When people do not want to deal with issues within their own community; they tend to blame others and seek scapegoats.  This is especially true in regards to the propaganda associated with the statement of homosexual recruitment of children for sexual activity.  It is a smoke screen.  The majority of pedophiles, over ninety-nine percent, are heterosexual males.  They tend to be white, conservative, middle class, married and have children of their own.  It is the propaganda of the "moral majority" which tries to smear the shame onto the homosexual community.  Pedophilia rapist do not tend to look at the sex of the child.  They look at the vulnerability and accessibility.   They are mentally ill individuals who need treatment and to be isolated from all children in the community.  Unfortunately, this isolation is nearly impossible to achieve without confinement in an institution, mental or penal.  This is another subject which will have to be discussed in greater detail at another time.  However, I will give one last statement on the issue.  My personal view is isolation is better than death and the care and protection of children is paramount to the survival of any society.   

I have already made a statement on scientific understanding regarding homosexuality but I want to elaborate a little on it.  It has been proven homosexual orientation runs in every known species on the planet.  The average effected population is around ten percent to fifteen percent.  The numbers can be higher in cases where the population is disproportionate in gender ratio.  In other words, where the number of men are significantly greater to the number of women or vice versa. 

It has become widely accepted among mainstream scientists and sociologists that homosexuality is a matter of genetics, not choice or environment.  Actually, the scientific evidence has provided a variation between the sexes.  It has shown homosexuality in males to be almost strictly based on genetics but in women, because they tend to be more social and communal, there has been evidence of environmental factors, which may explain the greater amount of experimentation amongst women.  No matter the factors, it is a part of the human condition and God had to be a factor.

However, to be honest, the youth of America may be the wrong group of students.  Most American teenagers are pretty tolerant and open on the subject today.  The correct group would be over forty crowd, who were taught intolerance and hatred in school, church and by society during their youth because of the ignorance and prejudices of the time.

 Wake up!  Your fears and prejudices have been taught and have nothing to do with the Bible or God.

Stage two, destroying marriage is an excuse to shift the blame from the real issue.  Gay marriage has no effect on the principals of marriage or the institution of marriage.  What does have an effect on marriage is Divorce, Adultery and Unwed motherhood!  Enough said.

Stage three is the hackneyed attack used against every group not aliened with the over sixty white upper middle class conservative agenda.  The same statements have been made about the Jews, the Blacks, the Hispanics and the Asians.  If every group accused of controlling the media and politics actual did; none would control more than three percent.  The reality is the white conservative upper middle class male has ruled over these areas for many decades and they are upset over losing their stranglehold, which they have used to spread hatred, misrepresentations and prejudice.

Stage four has already been proven to be a lie.  Gays are out in the military and the only people fussing are the ones who made these wild claims over the destruction of the institution from the beginning.  It is a known fact, gays have been in the military since the beginning.  Alexander the Great and Richard the Lion Heart were both gay and are still considered to be amongst the fieriest warriors and battle strategists to ever live.  Their troops respected them and were completely devoted to them.  Their enemies feared and respected them.  They were never accused of being too emotional or weak or failing to perform in the battle field. 

In regards to the matter of rapes in the showers, the dorms and on the fields are true.  However, it is not the homosexuals committing the crimes.  It is the heterosexual males raping the women and, sometimes, the men.   It is estimated three out of every five female recruit is raped at least once during their tour of duty.  Some have reported multiple occurrences.  In the case of the male rapes, many of the victims are homosexuals.  In cases of strictly homogeneous environments, like prisons and the military, males will indulge in homosexual behavior to meet their primal desires.  Immediately, upon reintegration into the diversified community of society, they will return to heterosexual behavior and never consider homosexual activity again.  It should be noted, both environments have increased stress and tension, as well as, hormonal effects related to the primal emotions to be the Alpha male and to belong.  Since the gay soldier is already attracted to the same sex and staying below the radar; he is less inclined to be the aggressor.  Therefore, he is seen as weaker and becomes the victim.  However, the majority of incidences deal with female soldiers. 

There is a current petition being circulated demanding the military stop hiding the sexual crimes committed inside the organization by forcing the guilty to register as sexual predators, just like in civilian life.  Yes, the military is not reporting sexual predators to the civilian justice system and discharging these violent criminals into society.  The military feels this is an acceptable risk.

I hope these two blog postings clarify some of the murkiness and make people realize that prejudice is not the same as Godliness.  Being a Christian means one is open and accepting to all of God's children, not just the ones they feel comfortable around.
